Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2025

1. Overview

GuavaSwap is a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange interface. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service:

  • Wallet addresses — the sending and receiving addresses you provide when creating a swap order.
  • Order metadata — swap amounts, currency pairs, order status, and timestamps associated with your order.
  • Technical data — standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, and referring URL, retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.

We do not collect names, email addresses, government ID, or any other personally identifying information unless you voluntarily contact us for support.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To process and track your swap order.
  • To detect fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations, including sanctions screening.
  • To improve service reliability and performance.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Swap orders are routed through a third-party liquidity provider. By using GuavaSwap, you acknowledge that your wallet addresses and transaction data will be transmitted to this provider to fulfil your order. Their own privacy practices apply to data they independently hold.

We may use standard analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. These tools do not receive wallet addresses or order details.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

GuavaSwap uses browser session storage to temporarily retain your order token so you can track an in-progress order without re-entering it. This data is never sent to advertising networks and is cleared when you close your browser session.

6. Data Retention

Order records are retained for up to 12 months for compliance and dispute-resolution purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Server logs are purged after 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of inaccurate data.
  • Object to certain processing activities.

Because we associate data with wallet addresses rather than identities, we may be unable to fulfil requests without additional verification. Contact us at the address below to exercise your rights.

8. Security

We employ industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your private keys and wallet credentials safe — GuavaSwap never has access to them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
